#8 Time, Space and all that...
Hey again, im back with another not particularly interesting blog, not really controvertial, but i just want to type it to get it straight in my head.
Time - the fourth dimension? the fastest thing in the universe? a very very abstract noun? Well frankly i don't think time should be any of these things, except the noun one.
Time as a dimension? really? i couldn't really ever get my head around that, but it simplifies it a bit, but i think time can't be classed as a dimension because we can't really properly go back along the line. We are ALWAYS in the present, kinda annoying. really... ok well i can't prove it isn't a dimension, but let me try, first whats a dimension? *goes to dictionary.com
Physics. A physical property, such as mass, length, time, or a combination thereof, regarded as a fundamental measure or as one of a set of fundamental measures of a physical quantity: Velocity has the dimensions of length divided by time.
Ok, right well there's a simple flaw here, time isn't a property, its not physical so it's not a dimension.
QED.
Time - the fastest thing in the Universe. Well, I for one would like to know this, now, i do know the ins and outs of Einsteins theory of relativity thanks to Dr.Avshu and my special physics books. But i wish Einstein would come back and explain to me why nothing can go as fast as light? i mean its only what, 400,000,000km a second. To be honest thats not very fast for the fastest thing ever... I would say there is no conclusive evidence that NOTHING EVER will EVER go as fast or faster than light. I mean, why couldn't you build an engine to go that fast eventually?
Yes, thanks for reading if you did, now comment :D
