#5 Religion, God and all that...

Im sticking my neck out here. Im going to try to avoid offending anyone unnecissarily (dno how to spell it) but it mid sound pretty damning in parts... Il try to get that out of the way first:

I don't believe in God. I think those who do are really quite silly (there you go i said it). I also think if there concievably could be a God, then it's really quite arrogant. Apparently the world was made so people could worship God. Now that sounds like something that came from the mind of a very, very big-headed being. Note: I am insulting God here, not religious people. Alright.

Why is there no God? As I have mentioned, the human race is basically a big chemical fluke. If the right things happened at the right time (which they did) then science can explain away any doubts you may have about creation. Heaven? Now, let's be honest here. Everyone says heaven is 'Up', but 'Up' is a different direction depending on where you are in the world, 'Up' in london for instance is not the same as 'Up' in Sydney, you are pointing at a totally different point in space. So, if heaven doesn't occupy a space anywhere in the Universe, because theoretically everyone thinks it's everywhere, then it can't really exist.

Christianity and religions like it have a flaw. There are two parts to this flaw. This flaw is a total contradiction in what God is saying, and what God will supposedly do. Apparently, God views all human beings as equals. Then how come there's a Pope? He's regarded as a holy figure who somewhat communicates with God, on about the level as Jesus, Mohammed or Moses. Is he equal? He gets a big-ass funeral in the name of God when other believers don't. The other flaw derives from a similar contradiction. 'God views everyone as equal', also: 'God is omni-benevolent' That means all caring for people who didn't know *cough* If this God guy is so nice, and sees everyone as equals then... everyone should go to the non-existant heaven when they die, technically even the devil should be in heaven if God really does 'love everything equally'.

- Anyway. There will be another post about holy books soon, maybe later tonight but thats enough to be going on with.

You fluffy, liberal muppet. Be like me and say what you really think, don't worry about ofending people, or haven't you been listening in English/Debating. But, yeah, it's a fair enough argument.
And don't start with the coughing Daniel.
