#3 Suicide, Depression and all that...

Ok No.3 Off the topic of No.1 and 2 but im interested in it so here goes:

There are people in this world who want to die. I can understand that. But why? and how do people let themselves get to the point they can't take living anymore? I can see a few ways a person can slip into that kind of depression. 1.They lose something they care about more than anything, money, wife, etc... e.g Wall Street Crash. 2.They're attention seekers gone wrong. 3.They realise something about the world and its all mental. This is what i want to talk about. Ive realised a few things, they make me sad for a while but obviously some people care more than others.

The world is utterly pointless. As i see it, the human race is a freak accident, a series of coincidence led to our being. Now we are here. So what? some people turn to a God, we must be good in our lives so God will like us and we will go on to a better place, or have a nicer life in the future. Some set themselves big tasks in life, ambition, some succeed some fail. I think the best way to go on in life though is set oneself small tasks, like a ladder, so instead of jumping over the wall, you climb up it. But then there are the ones who see it for what it is. There is no purpous in life. No God, no heaven, until someone proves it. You live, you die. Thats it. So, they can't be bothered, they don't make the most of what they've got and commit suicide.

As you see from this i'm an atheist. I don't believe in God. I would if someone proved it, showed me undeniable proof that God exists, no faith involved. Truth is... I don't have Faith in much.

So there it is, the Universe is big and pointless, life is interesting but pointless.

QED

-Since this is a more emotional issue and not really an argument i will be happy to discuss your views rather than your opinions. (Since no opinions are really made)

Umm, no, Agnostic is unsure. I believe emphatically that there is no God. But I'm also not blind to reason and good, strong evidence.
